How to View the Eclipse Without Glasses
The Colander Method
A colander, also known as a pasta strainer, can be used to view the eclipse without glasses. All you have to do is hold it about 20 inches from your eyes and look through the holes. The light from the eclipse will be diffracted by the holes, creating a safe and easy way to view the celestial event.
Other Methods
Besides the colander method, there are other ways to view the eclipse without glasses. One method is to use a pinhole camera. You can make a pinhole camera by covering the end of a cardboard box with aluminum foil and poking a small hole in the center. The light from the eclipse will pass through the hole and create an image of the eclipse on the inside of the box.
Another method is to view the eclipse through your fingers. This works best if you have long fingers. Simply interlace your fingers and hold them up to your eyes. The light from the eclipse will be diffracted by the spaces between your fingers, creating a safe and easy way to view the event.
