Third Game of Series Ends with 106-99 Victory for Celtics
DALLAS, Texas - The Boston Celtics moved to within one win of their 18th NBA championship after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 106-99 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 31 points, while Jaylen Brown added 30 points. The Celtics held off a furious rally by the Mavericks in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
The Mavericks were led by Luka Dončić, who had 28 points. However, Dončić was unable to carry the Mavericks to victory as the Celtics' defense held firm.
The Celtics now lead the series 2-1 and will have a chance to clinch the championship in Game 4 on Friday night.
